8 oz. almond paste
1/4 lb. butter, softened
1 T. grated lemon rind
2 T. lemon juice
2-3 (8oz.) tubes of refrigerated crescent rolls (8-10 count)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients except rolls; mix well. Separate rolls and spread each with 1 T. almond mixture. Roll up crescent as shown on pkg. and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until golden.

ICING:
1 c. powdered sugar
2 T. soft butter
1 T. milk
1 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. sliced almonds
For icing, combine all ingredients except almonds; mix until smooth. Spread icing on top of warm rolls and sprinkle with almonds. Serve warm.

I have found I have filling left over if I just use two tubes. Can be made ahead, baked and frozen; reheat covered loosely with foil and frost after reheating.
