3 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen French style green beans
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 (10 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. milk
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
1 c. grated sharp cheese
1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. fried onion rings

Directions:
Directions:
Combine beans, water and salt in saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. When water boils, reduce heat to simmer and cook until thawed, but still crisp. Drain. Mix soup and pepper with milk. Arrange 1/2 of the beans in a well greased casserole dish. Place in layers, half of the water chestnuts, cheese and soup mixture. Repeat.

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Top with onion rings, bake until onions are golden brown (about 10 minutes more).
