1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 c. old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 T. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk and with fork mix to a soft dough. Roll out on floured board to 1/2" thickness. Cut in triangles, put on greased baking sheet and bake in hot oven (425) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm, with butter if desired. Makes 8-12.
