2 lbs. boneless raw stew meat 1 package frozen stew vegetables or cut up carrots, potatoes, and onion 1 can tomatoes 1 tbsp. sugar 3 tbsp. quick tapioca 1 tbsp salt 1-15 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
Put all ingredients in a greased deep pan you can cook with in the oven. Cover. Cook in a 250 degree oven for 5 hours. Do not stir. When this is done I make dumplings to put on top of the stew.
