1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Scrape carrots; cut into thin strips or rounds. Put all in a heavy covered skillet. Cover and cook very slowly, shaking pan frequently, 30 to 40 minutes or until tender. Uncover pan as little as possible so steam will not escape.
