Ingredients:
1 stick Land of Lakes butter (4 oz.)

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa

1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt (optional)

Directions:
Directions:

Melt butter in heavy saucepan over medium heat.

In a separate bowl, mix well cocoa and sugar and add to the melted butter.

Add evaporated milk, vanilla and pinch of salt. (I never add the salt.) Boil for 12 minutes stirring constantly. (Trust me it's worth it!)

I use this syrup when I serve Hot Fudge Cake. I bake a chocolate sheet cake and I place a slice of vanilla ice cream between the halves of a square piece of the cake. I'll pour the chocolate syrup over the piece of cake and ice cream square immediately before serving.

I received this recipe from a friend of mine, Debbie Robbins. She's a wonderful cook!
