1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. (1 cube) butter
1 1/2 c. evaporated (canned) milk
vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
1/2 gallon peppermint candy ice cream, softened
Garnishes: sliced bananas, cherries, whipped cream

Melt first four ingredients in a double boiler until thick. Let cool. Press crushed vanilla wafers in a 9x13 dish. Spread with softened ice cream. Pour chocolate mixture over ice cream. Freeze until firm. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving to allow it to soften. Serve with garnishes.
