German chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup butter or oleo
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 pkg caramels
1/3 cup evaporated milk
6 oz chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Press half of mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan and bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
Melt: caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
Add: chocolate chips and nuts.
Spread mixture over baked cake.
Add rest of cake mix and bake at 350 for 15 - 20 minutes.
