2 qts sliced cucumbers 2 tbsp salt 1 large onion 1 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup vinegar
Day 1: Place cucumbers, onion and salt in container, cover with water and refrigerate 24 hours covered. Day 2: Rinse and drain cucumbers. Combine1 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup vinegar. Heat to boiling but do not boil. Pour over pickles. Set in refrigerator another 24 hours. Freeze
