3 cups sugar
3/4 lb. butter
2 cups corn syrup
1 can evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and cook, stirring for
45-60 minutes. (Until the hard ball stage; dropping a little in cold water or the soft ball stage on a candy thermometer.) Pour into a well buttered 9" x 13" pan.
Cool. Cut into squares and wrap in small squares of cut wax paper.

Sinfully delicious! This may have been Jeanne Howland's recipe but "the girls" all made them.
