CREAM TOGETHER:
6 T. shortening
1 c.. sugar
ADD:
2 eggs, well beaten
1 grated lemon rind
1/2 c. milk
SIFT TOGETHER:
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
MIX WELL:
Juice of 1 Lemon
1/2 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add sifted dry ingredients to cream mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 min. in 5 x 9 pan.
when baked pour over hot bread lemon & sugar mixture. When bread has absorbed all of mixture turn out onto a sheet of foil to cool. Upon cooling wrap in until time to serve.
