2 cups flour
1 T. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Sift all together

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup molasses

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and sugar well. Add beaten egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients. Cool dough in refrigerator. Make balls of dough and roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Balls will flatten. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
