Mix: 1 tbsp cornstarch 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 cup water Cook until clear. Set aside to cool. Beat: 3 egg whites (at room temperature) w/dash of salt until stands in peaks Add: 6 tbsp. sugar gradually Add: Cornstarch mix and beat until very stiff but not dry. You should be able to hold the bowl upside down w/o spilling out.
Pile high on pie and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
