Ingredients:
1 1/2 Lbs Hamburger
Salt and Pepper to taste
3 Tbs. flour
1 can carnation evaporated milk
Milk (as needed to thin the sauce)

Directions:
Directions:
Fry hamburger seasoned well with salt and pepper. When hamburger is completely cooked do Not drain juice, and add flour .Stir to completely cover all the hamburger with flour and add 1 can of carnation (If you do not have carnation, milk will work, but it will not be as rich a gravy) Stirring constantly, allow the gravy to thicken and add milk as needed to bring gravy to desired consistancy. Simmer gravy to completely cook the flour but babysit it as it needs to be stirred a lot to keep from scorching.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This gravy was served a lot when we were kids. It is one of my families favorite meals. We like it best over mashed potatoes, but we love it on biscuits and on toast too. This is one dish that really needs pepper added to give it the flavor it needs.
