4 c. pears (peeled, chopped) 3 c. sugar 1/4 t. salt 1 lemon (ground)
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and cook. Stir occasionally about 15 minutes or until spreading consistency. Pour into jars within 1/2 inch of top. Place jars in boiling water bath for 5 minutes. Take out and let cool.
