1 c all-purpose flour 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 T sugar 1 egg, well beaten 1/4 c oil 1 1/4 c milk 1 tsp salt 3/4 c cornmeal
Preheat oven to 425 F. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, cornmeal, egg, oil, and milk in a large bowl. Pour enough oil to cover the bottom of an iron skillet. Pour batter in skillet and cook in hot oven for 30 minutes.
