3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco)
buttermilk enough to make a stiff dough.

Directions:
Directions:

Sift dry ingredients together, cut in shortening and add buttermilk. Knead and roll out to about 1/4 inch or less.

Cut into 2-inch long strips then cut into 2-inch lengths. Drop into boiling chicken broth and cook until done.
