1 head of lettuce chopped into bite sized pieces
1/2 c. green pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 c. onion, thinly sliced
1/2 c. celery, chopped into small pieces
1 (10 oz.) pkg frozen peas (rinsed in hot water and drained)
1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
1/2 lb. cheddar cheese, grated or shredded
1 c. Miracle Whip
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar

Layer first seven ingredients in a trifle bowl. Mix the Miracle Whip and sugar and frost the top of the salad with the dressing mixture. Refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight before serving.
