1 c. pecans
2/3 c. light Karo
1/2 c. water
2 2/3 c. sugar
2 egg whites
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Chop the pecans. Put syrup, water and sugar. In medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook over moderate heat, without stirring until mix forms hard ball in ice water. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Continue to beat while slowly pouring hot syrup in thin stream into egg whites. Add vanilla and continue to beat until mix forms very stiff peaks form and the mix loses its gloss. Quickly fold in pecans . Drop teaspoonful on wax paper. Let stand until divinity is firm enough to handle.
