Crust:
2 c. flour
1 c. shortening
Salt
1 egg yolk (beat egg yolk & add milk to measure c.)
(Set aside egg white for topping)

Filling:
5 c. apples
1 c. sugar
2 T. flour

Topping:
1 egg white

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crust ingredients. Divide in half and roll in to pie crust. Use 1st half for bottom. Mix filling ingredients and place them in the pie. Use other half of crust for the pie top. Beat eh egg white until foamy and spread over top crust. bake at 350 for 1 hour.
