6 oz can tomato paste
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 T sugar (I usually use only 2 tsp)
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth. When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and cover until cool. Keeps for several weeks in the refrigerator.

We would not always like the 'pink' ketchup that would be available to us so this became an alternative.
