2 cups sugar
2 T gelatin (plain)
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup cold water
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Soak gelatin in cold water. Cook sugar, salt, and hot water to soft ball stage. Add soaked gelatin. Pour into a large bowl. Beat until it holds its shape. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased pan or one dusted with powdered sugar. (or stop here and use for Marshmallow cream). When set, cut into squares. These can be eated as candy or used in recipes.
