2 tsp very hot water
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups marshmallow creme (recipe in this section if needed)
1/2 cup shortening (holsum if in Africa)
1/3 cup powdered sugar (also called icing sugar in Africa)
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bown dissolve the salt in 2 teaspoons of very hot water. Set aside to cool. Combine the marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl and mix well with an electric mixer on high speed until fluffy. Add the cooled salt water solution to the filling mixture and combine with mixture.

This is used for oatmeal creme pies or can be used for any type of cookie sandwich. I would make small, hard, dark chocolate cookies (see dark chocolate cookie recipe in this section) and use this creme to give us a home made oreo cookie
