CAKE:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup water
4 T cocoa
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:
1 stick margarine
4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 box powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla

FOR CAKE:
Sift sugar and flour together in a large bowl. In a saucepan, add margarine, crisco, water, and cocoa and bring to a rapid boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture and mix well. Then add buttermilk, soda, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well and pour onto greased 11X17X 3/4 pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400.

FOR ICING:
Begin 5 minutes before cake is done. Put margarine, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then add powdered sugar and vanilla. Blend well and pour over hot cake.
