1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup boiling water
1/2 tbsp gelatin
1 1/2 cups orange juice
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the sugar in 1/4 cup boiling water. Add the gelatin which has soaked for 5 minutes in 1/3 cup cold water, then dissolved over boiling water. Add the orange juice and let mixture cool in the freezer until slightly thickened. Then add 2 beaten egg yolks and fold in 2 beaten egg whites (salt added). Freeze for 5-6 hours, stirring occasionally.

This came from one of my grandmother's cookbooks from the 1940's era. These are some very old and often unusual recipes you won't find in most contemporary cookbooks.
