2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 sticks margarine
2 tbsp light corn syrup
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, mix sugar, margarine, corn syrup, buttermilk and soda. Cook over medium heat until able to roll into a ball (sometimes referred to as the "soft ball stage"). Cool until lukewarm, stir well and add 3/4 cups nuts and 1 tsp vanilla.
