For the Meatballs:

2 1/2 - 3 lbs. ground beef (ground chuck) or ground turkey (or a combination of the two)
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
20 turns of ground pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 1/2 tbsp. dried parsley
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
5 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

For the Gravy:

3 cans tomato puree
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/2 of one of the above cans of water
1 tsp. salt
20 turns of ground pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. dried onion flakes
3 tbsp. dried parsley
3 tbsp. Italian seasoning

For the Meatballs:

Blend all meatball ingredients in a bowl with your hands. Shape into meatballs and place on greased broiler pan or rack with cookie sheet below. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Do not turn during baking.

For the Gravy:

Put the cooked meatballs in a large pot. Add all the gravy ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours.
