"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Creamy Rice Pudding, by Peggy Haynie, is from The Haynie Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 1/2 tsp vanilla 4 egg yolks beaten 1 c sugar 1/2 c half and half (or milk) 1 tsp cinnamon
Combine in saucepan first three ingredients. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Combine last five ingredients. Stir about 1/4 of rice mix into yolk mixture. Gradually combine them both together. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
Lois Cozen's recipe. She is a great cook so this is probably good, Carl Stephen, who loves rice pudding.
