French Onion Soup Recipe

4 onions, preferably red, chopped coarsely
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp margarine
1 tsp sugar
Salt and cayenne pepper to taste
1 quart chicken stock
Small rounds of French bread, toasted
4 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Fry onions very slowly in oil and margarine until soft and translucent. Add sugar, salt, and cayenne. Put all in a casserole dish and stock. Float toasted bread on top of soup. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
