1 C melted butter
1 C melted butter
1 1/3 C sugar
4 eggs

Beat well all the above. Add together:
2 C buttermilk ( may substitute milk with 2T vinegar)
1 t soda
Stir together:
2 C flour
2 C cornmeal
1 t salt
