2 bars German Chocolate
1 tbsp butter
2 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup finely chopped pecans
pinch of salt
dash of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate and butter over hot water in double boiler. Let cool and set aside. Beat eggs until foamy and add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, and beat until thickened (about 5 minutes). Blend in chocolate mixture, then add flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Blend and stir in vanilla and nuts. Spoon on to a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350.

This was in my mother's recipe files. Again, since she is the daughter of German immigrants in Hondo, Texas, many of these may have come from that influence - she can't remember! All I know is, the recipe is one she got back in 1963. You could probably add coconut to this recipe, for an added flavor and texture.
