1 c. butter, room temperature
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 pinch salt
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease one 9x13 inch baking pan.

Cream together butter & 1 cup of dark brown sugar together until light & fluffy. Mix in 1 beaten egg. Add the flour & salt until well combined.

Pour batter into the prepared pan & spread evenly. Cover the batter with the remaining well beaten egg. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar over the surface & sprinkle with the chopped pecans.

Bake at 350 F. for 35 minutes. Remove from oven & let cool for 30 minutes, then cut into squares.
