2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 c butter softened
3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 c chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla in mixer until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake@375 for 9-11 min. Cool for 2 minutes then move to cooling racks. Makes about 5 dozen.
