1 cup sugar, 1cup oil, 3 egg yolks

13/4 cup self-rising flour,1 tsp. baking powder,1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup buttermilk,1 tsp vanilla

Icing: 3 stiff egg whites 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup corn syrup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
mix sugar, oil and egg yolks, mix flour, baking and soda together and add to mixture. add buttermilk and vanilla. Bake 20 minutes@ 375 in 9x13 pan.

Beat egg whites until stiff and add sugar. Beat one more minute. Boil corn syrup until bubbly. Pour over egg whites and sugar. Ice cake and sprinkle coconut on top. You can ice hot
