1 lb. stew meat
2 potatoes, cut up
1 onion, chopped
4 - 5 carrots, sliced
2 - 3 stalks celery, chopped
1 can cream of celery soup mixed with 1/2 can of water.

Add 1 can of peas at the very end of cooking time

Directions:

Grease casserole dish.
Layer ingredients in order listed, beginning with stew meat on the bottom, ending with the soup and water mixture. Put lid on pan and bake at 225 degrees for 5 or 6 hours.

Really good served with cornbread!

My mother, Dorothy Terry, gave me this recipe about 35 years ago. It's a great winter-time meal.
You can make it up the night before, and put it in the oven on time bake before you head out for the day. It smells WONDERFUL when you come home to the smells of hot stew!
