3/4 cup (real) Butter
3 cups Sugar
3 Eggs

2 tsp of each of the following:
Vanilla
Salt
Baking Powder
Baking Soda
**Nutmeg
**Ginger
**Cloves
**Cinnamon
**Allspice
(**these can be replaced with Pumpkin Pie Spice)

5 cups Flour
1 Large Can Pumpkin
1 12 oz bag of chocolate chips (if desired)
1 cup chopped pecans (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add the spices, including the vanilla. Add the can of pumpkin. (Fresh baked pumpkin is even more delicious) Add the flour. Mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 for 14 minutes.
