For smaller batch:
2 cups flour
1 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 /2 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
1 cups brown sugar
1 cups shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars & shortening together. Add eggs and mix well. Add all remaining ingredients except pecans and oatmeal. Mix well. Blend in oatmeal and pecans. Mix thoroughly. Roll a teaspoon full of dough into a ball and drop on greased cookie sheet. They will flatten as the bake. Bake at 350 until golden brown.
