4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoon soda
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups shortening
4 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars & shortening together. Add eggs and mix well. Add all remaining ingredients except pecans and oatmeal. Mix well. Blend in oatmeal and pecans. Mix thoroughly. Roll a teaspoon full of dough into a ball and drop on greased cookie sheet. They will flatten as the bake. Bake at 350 until golden brown. Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
