Put sugar, butter, corn syrup and 1 c. cream in large saucepan with a candy thermometer. Let heat without stirring. When it gets to boiling temperature of 230, very slowly add the other 1 c. cream. The mixture should not stop boiling while you add the second cup of cream. Cook until temperature reaches 245. Take off burner and let boiling subside. Then add the vanilla and nuts and mix. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 in. pan and let set for 24 hours before cutting. Wrap in waxed paper wrappings.
