1 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted Crisco
1 1/2 cups applesauce
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup raisins
Powdered sugar
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients. Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda and salt and mix well. Mix together well to make a batter. Cook 1 cup raisins (add enough water to cover,) cook just until soft. Add hot water and raisins to batter, spread in a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. When cool, frost with powdered sugar frosting and cut into squares.
