8 medium sized potatoes
Salt
2 medium sized onions
Frying Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Scrub and peel potatoes; and cut into lengthwise strips, about ten per potato. Peel onions; slice crosswise; then in halves. Separate to form strips. Put layer of potato with a little onion in frying basket. Plung this into the fat; fry until golden brown, drain on crumpled paper napkins or towels, dust with salt and serve immediately.

(Heat oil until a small piece of bread will brown in 55 seconds)
