In a crock pot or large pan, slow cook 6-8 hours: Ham bone (meaty one) 2 c. white beans (pre-boiled 10 minutes and drained) 8 c. water 1 large onion chopped 2 stalks celery chopped 1 bay leaf salt and pepper to taste
