1/2 lb. raisins, seeded and chopped
1/2 c. candied orange & lemon peel

1/2 lb. suet chopped fine
1/2 lb. stale bread crumbs

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

1 c. brown sugar

1 c. fruit juice

1/2 c. sour milk (buttermilk)

3 eggs, well beaten

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and steam for 3 hours.

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
