1/2 cup Soft Shortening
1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Flour
1 Egg
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon cr. of tarter
1 teaspoon of soda
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Pre-head oven to 375
Mix shortening, butter, sugar, egg & vanilla
Mix flour salt, tarter, & soda into a separate bowl
Roll into small balls, roll into sugar, press
Bake cookies 8-10 minutes or until light brown
