3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
1/4 cup milk
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 pkg (14 oz) caramels
1/4 cup water
1 cup chopped pecans
whipped cream & additional chopped pecans, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, oil and milk. Combine flour,
cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture
and mix well. Stir in vanilla. Transfer to a greased 8inch
square baking pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until
toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
In heavy sauce pan, combine caramels and water. Cook and
stir over low heat until smooth. Add pecans. Cool slightly.
cut the cake into squares; drizzle with warm caramel sauce.
Top with whipping cream and pecans; if desired.
