1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 a package (6 oz.) chocolate chips 1 c. pecans (optional)
Cream shortening with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients together and combine with the wet. Fold in the oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
