1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. sifted flour
c. sugar
t. salt
4 t. baking powder
1 egg
1 c. milk
c. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Add egg, milk and shortening. Beat until smooth. Bake in 8 inch square pan or muffin tins @ 425 for 20-25 minutes.
