macaroni
milk

Directions:
Milk poured in with the macaroni. Your milk should be a tiny speck. I meant pepper. A tiny sprinkle of salt. A tiny speck of sugar. Set the clock for 20 minutes. A speck of milk after cooking. Stir and put cheese in it. Hey Granddad, make sure the macaroni has milk written down.

I love this recipe because it reminds me of how my Granddad, Ray Bowers, would spend hour after hour with me, playing "whatever Mollee wants".

Note from the Editor: When Ruby Bundy and I first began collecting recipes for this cookbook, Mollee was 3 years old! She asked her granddad, to write down her recipe so she would have a recipe in the cookbook.

I can still see them: Dad sitting at my kitchen table, with Mollee perched on the tabletop, stirring imaginary macaroni as she explained her recipe. Dad wrote down each and every word of Mollee's recipe and now 16 years later, here it is!
