1 Cup Shortening 1 Cup Sugar 4 Eggs 3 Cups Flour 2 Cups Jam (Your Choice) 1/2 Tsp. Salt 1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda 1 1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg 1 Tsp. Cloves 1 1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon 1 Cup Buttermilk 1 Cup Raisins 1 Cup Nuts
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and jam. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with buttermilk. Dust raisins and nuts with flour and add to mixture. Bake in a tube pan at 275º for 1 1/2-2 hours.
