lemon juice, if required

Directions:
Directions:

Peel tomatoes, place in 1-quart jar. Mash tomatoes in the jar to make the juice.

Add 1 teaspoon of salt to jar. (Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice if there is not enough acid in tomatoes.)

Place sealing lid on jar and screw top on tight. Place jars in cold pack cooker, cover with water and cook for 20 minutes after water begins to boil.
